Antonia Gentry regularly commits *this* beauty sin, but the rest of her routine makes up for it…

It's giving gentle-yet-effective...

Antonia Gentry, AKA the OG ‘brat’, Ginny from Ginny and Georgia, has finally shared her beauty routine (with The Zoe Report), covering everything from her super simplistic skin care routine and her need-to-know curly girl approved haircare routine. And while her character might be seriously complex, Gentry’s beauty routine is actually simple and relatable, which is now a major reason why we love her.

And even though we totally can’t wait to binge-watch the next season, we’re going to be waiting a while. Yep, we’re going to have to wait a little longer to see the tasty Felix Mallard on our screens. In the meantime, lets brush up on Antonia Gentry’s beauty routine…

Antonia Gentry Beauty Routine

Simplistic morning skin care

Look, we’re totally outing Gentry on the biggest beauty sin you can commit: not taking her makeup off properly at night. Yep, total beauty no no. In fact, she only uses Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes ($8.99 at Priceline) at night to take off the day.

But we’re going to give her some grace, because the stunning star does make sure her morning routine rectifies the situation.

TBH, Gentry mirrors Ginny in her ‘Brat’ nature, often waking up with mascara smudged across her lashes. The best way to get it off? Clinique Take The Day Off Remover ($30 at Myer). And to give her skin a gentle, hydrating morning cleanse, Gentry uses the Caudalie Vinoclean Gentle Cleansing Almond Milk ($42 at Sephora) that is of course, unless her skin is having a bit of a breakout. In those instances, she uses the blemish-banishing La Roche-Posay Effaclar ($32 at Adore Beauty).

When it comes to hydration, there’s clearly something in the Hollywood water. Because much like Lola Tung, Gentry loves the ultra-hydrating, active-packed Westman Atelier Skin Activator Serum ($249 at MECCA). But because hydration is key, she also follows it up with a Caudalie Moisturiser (our top pick is the VinoHydra Gel Moisturiser, $52 at Sephora).

And of course, no good skincare routine would be complete without sunscreen. So, she makes sure to finish off with a protective, sun-safe layer.

Curl-perfecting haircare

When you’ve got soft and bouncy spirals as stunning as Gentry’s, keeping them nourished is key. Thankfully the days of ‘brush them and hope for the best’ are well behind us, and we’re all about the education surrounding the ‘Curly Girl Method’.

In-shower care

The routine starts simply with a lathering rinse of the Aveda Be Curly Advanced Shampoo ($50 at Oz Hair and Beauty), which she then follows with the Aveda Be Curly Advanced Curl Masque ($57 at Oz Hair and Beauty) which she swears “makes (her) hair feel like butter”. To make sure she’s getting the most out of the product, she lets it sit for about three minuets and then she goes in and “brush[es] it through [her] ends, [which] detangle[s] [her] hair, and rinse[s] it out”.

Strand styling

To help create the perfect bouncy, soft curl, Gentry spritzes on a dose of the Aveda Be Curly Advanced Primer ($57 at Oz Hair and Beauty) and once that’s done her hair is “ready for (her) favourite product from the line”. The product in question? Aveda Be Curly Advanced Curl Enhancer Cream ($57 at Oz Hair and Beauty). The cream is seriously lightweight, and a little goes a long way (perfect for Gentry’s fine strands). To apply, it’s just a “scrunch and finger coil” routine.

And to finish it all off, “the last step is diffusing [her] hair, which [she] really hate[s] doing because it takes 20 to 30 minutes. This routine allows [her] to have shiny, bouncy curls without it being too crunchy or weighed down”. For Gentry, her “hair lasts for quite a few days before [she] ha[s] to do a reset”. Definitely something to be happy about.
