WATCH: Bella Hadid successfully cuts her own bangs in quarantine.

But take it with a grain of salt, as a model, it’s Hadid’s full time job to maintain the body she has – an unrealistic expectation for anyone who wants a figure like Hadid’s.

Yes, Hadid works out for hours a day, combining boxing sessions with cardio, butt-toning exercise, and ab-hardening activities.

That’s just… not something we should ever be expected to do. And nor will we. That said, there are some healthy tweaks and tricks Bella has up her sleeve that can help you feel like your best self.

Some of Hadid’s fitness habits are pretty relatable. While her workouts are on the higher-end of the intensity scale, she does pare her strict habits back with a very flexible diet, which often consists of pizza, pasta, and the occasional dinner out. She also follows in the footsteps of her mother, Yolanda Hadid, by living a wholesome, healthy life.

Are you game enough for the Hadid-approved way of life? Here, we run through everything Bella Hadid has done to get the body she has today.

DIET: Carbs Are A-Okay

Bella is all about the carb-filled pleasures. Talking to WWD, Hadid spilled on her favourite junk foods she often indulges in.

“Right now my diet is pizza, so recently that’s all I’ve been eating,” she said. “I promise you, it’s like every day. Or burgers, French fries, grilled cheeses.”

If you haven’t already caught on, the 21-year-old, is all for freedom when it comes to her diet, especially when she’s off duty. After wrapping the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, the model confessed that she would be eating pasta immediately after the show. “I’m going to eat pasta right now,” she told People, following this detail with the best diet advice we’ve ever heard. “If you want to have a piece of bread, go have a piece of bread.”

DIET: Keeping As Balanced A Diet As Possible

When travelling for work, Hadid likes to keep her diet balanced and fairly routine.

“I like to eat healthy and not eat crazy plane food,” she told People. “I like to still make sure my diet is good and I stay hydrated and stuff. That’s basically all I do.”

DIET: Keeping As Balanced A Diet As Possible

And when she’s on the job, her diet remains as varied, clean and protein-rich as possible. “If I have the morning off, I’ll either make eggs and sausage, and eat breakfast at home, or go to the bagel store below my apartment,” she told Harper’s BAZAAR US.

“My go-to is an egg sandwich on a plain bagel. One time I wanted to be healthy and got a gluten-free bagel, but I promise you, they suck.”

Because she has really low blood sugar, the model will make sure her meals are often and regular—particularly when she’s working.

“We break for lunch around 1 p.m. I’ll usually have salmon or chicken and veggies,” she said “If not, then pasta. I like having a good protein meal because I get really tired if I eat too much, so I try to fill myself up with things that will make me feel good. I order a lot of green juices and keep them around on set. I have ginger shots in a cooler, and I’ll drink one if I’m feeling low. I’m also a big coffee drinker. I’ll have three espressos before noon.”

When it comes to dinner, she tries to make dinner for herself. But when she’s working, she’ll often order food in. “I used to make dinner for myself all the time, but now when I leave work I order food,” she told Harper’s BAZAAR US. “Westville is the restaurant I always order from. The sautéed kale is my favourite.”

EXERCISE: Pre- And Post-Workout Snacks Are A Must

To ensure she keeps her meals regular—especially when she’s training—Hadid is sure to keep pre- and post-workout snacks on hand

“I count on a smoothie, a juice or a protein drink 30 minutes before the session,” she told Vogue Paris.

“After the session I eat something full of protein like chicken and wholegrain rice. It’s ideal to strengthen the muscle mass and to increase the effects of the session.”

EXERCISE: Boxing Is Key

If she’s not completing a boxing focussed session, she is sure to include elements of boxing in all of her workouts. When completing her curve-accentuation workouts, the main component of each session is “definitely boxing,” she said. “But also Body Ballet, I’ve only tried it out once but I can see the long term results amongst my friends.”

She also swears by boxing techniques to get her rock hard abs. She told Vogue Paris that she uses “nothing other than boxing and a series of targeted ab workouts,” to tone her mid-section.

She also loved a sparring session with older sister, Gigi: “She’s a bad-ass, who is strong and sturdy both mentally and physically.”

EXERCISE: Dedication, Dedication, Dedication

If you thought for one second that Hadid’s super-toned body was the result of slack workout habits, then you are dead wrong. She told that Vogue Paris her key to a successful workout is “To put in 100% from the start to the end of a workout.”

“There is nothing better than to push yourself to the limit, while making the most of it. Going to the gym for two hours with only 50% motivation is the best way of erasing the feeling of accomplishment and well-being that boosts self-confidence that you get from a workout.”

After reading that, it’s no surprise that the model’s motto is “Work hard, play hard.”

And while she may have to psych herself up from time to time, she gets straight into it once she’s at the gym: “I really do like it,” she told E! I wouldn’t say I get out of bed in the morning and I’m ‘I’m going to work out’, but when I get to the gym… rock and roll.”

For this reason, the model isn’t the biggest fan of low-intensity workouts. “I don’t like to do the whole yoga thing,” she said “I think Yoga is calming, it’s amazing, but if I’m going to go for it, I’m going to go hard.”

EXERCISE: Hours’ Long Workout Sessions

Not only does she love a good high-intensity workout, she’s also all for workouts that last for hours. Speaking to E!, Hadid said that her workouts typically last at least a couple of hours. “When I work out, I love to work out,” she said “Like, I train and I work out hard for two hours.”

But sometimes, even a two-hour workout just isn’t enough for the model—particularly before a runway show, telling People that she worked out for three hours a day before the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. “I think that if you just stick to something you can really achieve so much,” she said.

EXERCISE: Post-Workout Habits

Something she considers just as important as an intense workout is a post-workout warm down. She told Vogue Paris that she stretched for “7 to 10 minutes before and after the session to relax and lengthen the muscles as well as to improve the performance.”

She also loved to go for a stroll after an intense session of exercise: “It’s important to keep moving after an intensive session to boost blood circulation and better recover afterwards.”

EXERCISE: Her Go-To Leg And Cardio Workout

Just like many other Victoria’s Secret models—and her sister, Gigi—the 21-year-old trains with Rob Piela, founder of ‘The Ocho System’, and trainer at Gotham Gym. “He’s really the best,” Hadid told People. “I literally can’t work out with anybody,” she says. “It has to be me and him. If I am working with other people, I freak out.”

He also happens to be the creator of the Hadid sisters’ favourite 25-minute leg and cardio workout.

EXERCISE: Her Go-To Leg And Cardio Workout

When explaining the express workout to SELF, Piela said that the workout involves “3 minutes of boxing, and then 1 minute of doing a lot of different leg-focused strength-training moves.” And if boxing isn’t your thing, Piela says you can easily swap the activity out for another cardio activity. “I’ve always liked jump rope—it’s great for legs—or running if [you prefer],” he said. “You just want to keep your heart rate up the entire time.”

To complete the workout, you will alternative three minutes of boxing (or your cardio exercise of choice) with 1 minute of strength training (but if it takes a little longer, it doesn’t matter)—this will consist of a combination of two different exercises from this list:

Squats — 20 reps
Donkey Kicks — 12 reps each side
Plié Squats — 12 reps each side
Banded Squat Walks — 12 reps each side

After the first set, keep alternating between 3 minutes of boxing (or cardio) and 1 minute of strength exercises, until you’ve done six rounds of exercise.
