Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, we haven’t been able to go and have a proper movie experience at the cinema in what feels like forever~. And, if you live in Melbourne, you potentially haven’t properly caught up with a friend or done anything outdoors for longer than an hour in what feels like generations. But never fear, a Disney Plus drive-in is here for you.
This Spring—and if you’re in Brisbane, right now!—Openair Cinemas is bringing a bunch of Disney classics and new Disney releases to the outdoor big screen, all from the comfort of your four wheeled vehicle.
The Disney+ Drive-in is a weekly six-day event held over a month in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Each day sees a different type of Disney film: there’s Marvel Mondays, Star Wars Wednesdays, Throwback Thursdays, Super Fan Fridays, Sing A-Long Saturdays and Pixar Sundays. Cute!
Tickets cost $48.56 per car, so a high price to pay for a cute date idea but great if going with a group of friends. Fun fact, if you or someone you know is a first responder, they can get 20 percent off tickets!
