Ed Sheeran is one of the world’s most successful singers and was named the best-selling global artist of 2017.
The British local has sold over 26 million albums.
So it should come at no surprise that his daily salary numbers are just as big.
The 27-year-old singer’s company, Ed Sheeran Ltd recently released its 2017 profit.
The Sun has reported that in 2017 alone, the recording artist took home a staggering £27,376,900 ($50,623,257).
Broken down, it equates to £75,005 ($138,693) per day and £3,125 ($5,778) per hour.
So, while the average Aussie household takes home $82,435.30 per week, Sheeran took home an average of $138,000 per day in 2017.
In July, he made the Forbes list as the No. 1 highest earning solo artist in the world and ranked as No.9 in the Top 10 Highest-Earning Celebrities.
But the humble star has previously admitted he isn’t in it for the money and that his earnings aren’t everything.
In an interview in 2017 with OK! Magazine UK, the Shape Of You star said, “I do think money is the root of all evil. I’ve never lost more friends in my life than I have done after finding money coming to my life.”
The singer also added, “I have more value on my friends and family being OK. A lot of my money goes to charity or to children’s hospitals near where I live. I have enough to be comfortable and the rest goes to help people.”
