We’re kind of freaking out right now, because Hayley just got killed off in The Originals!
Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) has been part of the show since the very beginning, sacrificed herself for her daughter, Hope.
Hayley wanted to protect her from Greta, who was trying to kill Hope.
Hayley and Greta’s burnt to a crisp as they exposed themselves to the sunlight outside, and since she’s no longer a werewolf… she dies.
And while the show is known to bring characters back from time to time, we’re gonna go ahead and assume she’s gone for good.
However consulting producer Jeffrey Lieber says there’s still more to her story. “I don’t think I’m giving anything away in saying that she is in other episodes this season, so that her death is not nearly her end,” he told TV Guide.
“There’s still a lot more of her story and her story with Elijah and her story as the mother of Hope to be told.”
The show is currently in its fifth and final season, with the series finale set to air July 13.
But never fear! A spinoff of The Originals, and The Vampire Diaries titled Legacies is coming to The CW!
