Spotify’s new sun, moon and rising sign feature
This new feature is a part of Spotify’s ‘only you’ feature, and it is a natal chart obsessive’s dream.
Spotify has described this feature as “all about celebrating how you listen,” and it organises your listening habits into organised categories.
One of those is dedicated to your sun sign, which features the artist you have listened to over the past six months, and your moon sign, which represents the most emotional songs you connect with.
Lastly, your rising sign is all about the new artist you have discovered recently.
This gratifying astro-info feature has made us want to listen to a curated selection of horoscope playlists so that we can connect with our signs most inner-world fulfilling tunes.
Luckily, Spotify has 12 Cosmic playlists based on each of the star signs.
Curated by renowned and respected celeb astrologer Chani Nicholas, each playlist includes songs themed around what’s happening in that sign’s life that month — as well as an audio reading of their horoscope.
“Cosmic Playlists are my collaboration with Spotify to bring you a soundtrack to the astrology for the month ahead. It’s a monthly horoscope in music form,” Chani said.
“You can use them for inspiration, reflection, or for your own personal dance party. Your written monthly horoscopes are published on the playlists too: look for a pop-up window when you open the playlist on your mobile phone.”
The playlist will change each month depending on your horoscope. So, whether a new crush is on the cards or you’re facing some challenges in your girl squad, you’ll always be able to find tunes to match your mood.
