Jack Vidgen first auditioned for Australia’s Got Talent at 12 in 2010 but didn’t advance past the first round. One year later, he returned to the show, auditioning at 13 and winning season five at 14 in 2011.
To commemorate the win, Vidgen dropped his debut album, Yes I Am, a series of soulful and angelic covers of classic power ballads from “And I Am Telling You” by Jennifer Hudson in Dreamgirls to Adele’s “Set Fire To The Rain.”
When Did Jack Vidgen Return To Reality TV?
After Australia’s Got Talent and fearing his personal life was becoming publicly-known, Jack Vidgen stepped away from the limelight of TV stardom. He returned to TV five years later as a contestant on The Voice in June 2019. Speaking to the judges, he revealed why then was time to mark a return.
“I stopped singing five years ago,” Vidgen said at the time, per WHO. “I think I just burnt out. I just fell out of love with singing and that’s as simple as it was.”
“It’s taken years and years for me to actually want to step on a stage and love it, and that was the most incredible moment I’ve had in five years.”
Vidgen joined Guy Sebastian’s team on the show and left as a semi-finalist. Then, just four months later, he was one of ten artists considered to be the Australian representative at Eurovision 2020 but came in at 8th place by public voting.
In 2020, he appeared on the second season of Australia’s Got Talent: The Champions, before his time on I’m A Celebrity.

Speaking to Not Here To Make Friends host James Weir in 2019, Jack Vidgen admitted to having some work done. In fact, he had his first Botox injection when he was 19-years-old.
“I think I got it first when I was 19. I had these two creases on my forehead. I just tried it and they went away,” the Australia’s Got Talent winner said.
Elsewhere in an interview on The Kyle & Jackie O Show, he revealed he’s had lip fillers, veneers and had his teeth altered.
I had an insecurity with my lips and I had the opportunity to not be insecure anymore and I did that and I’m happy,” he said. While we applaud Vidgen’s honesty and that it’s his body, his choice, we would of course encourage building a healthy sense of self-esteem from your character and accomplishments, not just your appearance.

It’s believed that Jack Vidgen is romantically linked to Sydney-based dancer and real estate agent, Tyler Potts. Back in March 2020, Vidgen shared a cute pic of him and Potts with the caption, “did a full 180, f*n crazy 😘.”
Then, just this week, Potts shared a cute pic of the pair on his own Instagram celebrating his rumoured boyfriend’s birthday.
“Happiest of birthdays to you, Jack Vidgen, my gorgeous fairy,” he wrote. “I’m so blessed to have someone as beautiful as you in my life boo. Can’t wait to see you next so I can give y’a [sic] a big juicy kiss.”
Previously, Jack Vidgen was romantically linked to Sydney and Berlin-based model Malte Schoschies in September 2019, after Vidgen shared this black and white photo of he and his past boo kissing in a club.
