Ariana Grande has seemingly fired one of her backup dancers, Lady Cultura, for using the N-word on her Instagram.
The dancer used the word in an Instagram story a week and a half ago, and a bunch of Ariantors were totally offended by it.
At the time, Lady Cultura didn’t believe that what she had said was wrong, and direct messaged fans defending her actions.
“Saying ‘I love this n****’ does not make you racist,” one screenshot showed her say. “You have to understand context. If I said ‘I hate n*****,’ completely racist. Two different things. Simply saying the word doesn’t make you racist.”
She also told another, “None of my black fans have said anything. They love me and say [the N-word] to me.”
Yikes.
Soon after, she posted an apology on her Twitter.
“i’m sorry to anyone upset / offended. i love you all. goodnight!! #peaceandlove“
After the drama, she was noticeably missing from the Brisbane show.
She has also removed the line about being one of Ariana’s back up dancers from her Instagram bio.
