She is quite literally the modern American Bridget Bardot, and she wears the title so well.
The 24-year-old is most famous for playing Cassie on Euphoria, but the stunner’s rise to fame isn’t an overnight success story.
How did Sydney Sweeney’s career begin?
The actress started her career at 12, and in 2009 she appeared in her first body of work, the shows Heroes and Criminal Minds.
However, Sydney grew up in Washington State, not Hollywood, so she had to convince her parents to take her to Los Angeles.
In 2019 she told Coveteur how she had to beg her parents to allow her to audition, and her business-savvy tactic took a leaf out of Emma Stone’s book.
“I grew up in a town where there wasn’t any sort of entertainment industry, so acting was a fairy tale,” she told the publication.
“They were holding auditions, so I begged my parents to let me audition by putting together a five-year business plan presentation.”
What else has Sydney Sweeney starred in?
Of course, she’s most well known for Euphoria, which she stars in alongside fashion icon Zendaya, but that is by no means the only acting gig to the 24-year-old’s name.
In 2018, Sydney finally had her big break when she landed a role on the Netflix show Everything Sucks!.
She was also cast alongside Oscar winner Amy Adams in the HBO show Sharp Objects.
In recent years she has starred in the popular series The Handmaid’s Tale, the Oscar-winning movie Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, and the independent film Clementine.
Her most recent releases include HBO dramedy The White Lotus, Robot Chicken, The Voyeurs, Night Teeth.
Does Sydney Sweeney go to college?
Sydney is one smart cookie because not only was she her high school’s valedictorian, she has also gone to college for a unique and clever reason.
In an interview with MTV News for YouTube, she explained why she chose to study entrepreneurship at college in LA.
“When I was 16 years old, I went to an audition, and the producers were like ‘Are going to college?’, and I said, ‘Yes, I am’, and he goes, ‘For acting?’ and I said no, and he goes ‘so you don’t want to be an actor when you grow up?'” she said.
“And I said ‘Yes I do, I am going to college for business’, and he goes ‘Why? You’re not going to be an actress?’ And I said, ‘That way when I go to school for business, if I get a contract for 20 million dollars, I am going to read that contract myself, and I’m not going to get fu*ked over.”

Does Sydney Sweeney have a boyfriend?
Yes, but they’re super private.
Sydney has been in a long-term relationship with LA restauranteur Jonathan Davino.
It’s clear the beauty isn’t close to slowing down, and if you’re going to bet on a budding young Hollywood actor, it should be Sydney.
