Chloe Lukasiak‘s Dance Moms comeback was one of the best things to happen to the show in a while. Watching the ALDC alum and her mum Christi reuniting with the rest of the cast brought us right back and they were all as excited as us!
Now in a new interview, the Dance Moms star has opened up about why she’s not friends with Maddie Ziegler anymore, what she’s got coming up and even gave us hope that our fave dance show might not be over.
As you might know, since leaving the show Chloe has landed roles in Center Stage: On Pointe and Loophole and she’s keen to do more acting. But she also wants to continue dancing and she’s hinted that there might be a Season 8!
“I want to keep doing both,” she told Teen Vogue. “Dance Moms right now, and then hopefully some more movies you’ll see.”
With Abby Lee Miller‘s ongoing legal troubles, Season 7 is rumoured to be the last but according to Chloe, the producers wanted her back and it sounds like there might be more Dance Moms to come!
“My mom got in touch with them, and they were like, yes! Come back! We’ll see what’s going to happen next,” she spilled. “It was really amazing. It was a little bit different, because the team has changed a lot since I’ve left. There were people I’d never met before, but for me it was very much like walking back to my own home. I was like, that is my childhood.”
Chloe also revealed that sadly she’s lost touch with Maddie and the rest of the original Dance Moms cast because of their busy schedules.
“Nia and I have always been close, but I don’t get to see Maddie and Brooke that often,” Chloe dished. “It’s just hard to stay close when you’re traveling all over the world. We’re not as close as we used to be, but that’s just kind of what happens, unfortunately.”
Maddie had also previously said their friendship changed once she left the show in 2014 and that they haven’t spoken in a long time.
“We haven’t really talked to each other and things have changed between us,” Maddie said at the time. “It’s really sad because I obviously miss her.”
Nawww. Well at least they’re both kicking goals and hopefully they can reunite one day!
